Cameron Keeling
a life on the road
Cameron Keeling has been saturated in bluegrass music for the past decade or more. Cutting his teeth in multiple bar bands learning to play and write songs around his hometown Kansas City. He hosted bluegrass jams at the Westport Saloon every Wednesday for 4 years, which helped to make Cameron the player he is today. After holding down local gigs, he went on the road, initially playing mandolin and later upright bass with Grassfed, a bluegrass power trio with two released studio albums, touring nonstop for 5 years, playing festivals, honky tonks, radio stations, barns, basements, and concert halls. Currently, Cameron has been getting out with a variety of local and regional players doing solo tours as Cameron Keeling and Friends on acoustic and electric guitar, as well as mandolin. Cameron has also joined the ranks of The Danny Spain Gang out of Arkansas. He’ll be holding down the low end, thumpin and slappin the upright bass as well as singing them high and lonesome harmony vocals. Catch a show sometime soon!
